DEAR HILARY I think I have athlete’s foot – what can I do?

Athlete’s foot is a fungal infection which affects the soft area between and underneath the toes and thrives in warm, moist conditions.

Ask your chemist for an anti-fungal cream such as Lamisil Once, £9.99, and make sure you keep feet clean and always dry thoroughly after washing them.

Change socks frequently too.
