The OK! columnist, who is currently recovering from surgery, scored the same as Sir Alan Sugar in a poll of favourite business men and women, voted for by170,000 people.

Katie is a best-selling author, a mother of three, has had a best selling perfume, owns her own lingerie and haircare ranges and stars in her own TV series.

Director of the survey, taken by bttradespace.com, said: "With her keen business sense, and unique approach to creating a brand, Katie is clearly an inspiration to many.
 
"To make the transition from pin-up to a multi-millionairess, while raising a family, is an impressive achievement.

"She has been very skilful in marketing herself through the Jordan brand and then re-inventing herself as a go-getting businesswoman."

Katie, who came fourth, also scored higher than easyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou, and the late Dame Anita Roddick.

The poll was topped by Richard Branson, followed by Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Dragons' Den panellist Peter Jones.
