MOORE PREFERS BOND VILLAINS TO 007

Posted: Monday 13 Oct 2008

SIR ROGER MOORE would have gladly swapped his most famous role as JAMES BOND for an evil villain in the spy franchise - because the bad guys deliver the best lines.

The actor played the suave secret agent in seven films before giving up his trademark role at 58 years old.

But Moore, 80, insists he would have loved to show off his acting abilities as a criminal in the Bond movies.

He says, "I would have loved to have been a villain - they had wonderful speeches like, 'The end of the world is about to come'. Bond just listens but doesn't really get to say anything.'"
