The 24-year-old singer gave birth to Bronx at the Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He weighed 7 lb 110z and was 20-and-a-half-inches long at birth.

A spokesperson for the couple said: “Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes.”

Ashlee and Pete tied the knot in May and announced that they were expecting soon after. Earlier this week, Ashlee’s singer sister Jessica Simpson revealed that pregnant Ashlee had been growing impatient and was trying to induce labour.

She said: “Ashlee has been trying to been trying different foot massages and stuff. I think she’s really just jumping around trying everything right now.”

Now that the wait is over, Pete, of Fall Out Boy Fame, has said that he has been getting parenting tips from other celebrity dad, Joel Madden, who has a nine-month-old daughter Harlow with his partner Nicole Ritchie.

He said: “Joel gives me advice. It has been really awesome for me to go to another person my age.”
