Comic Alan Carr has landed his own chat show with Channel 4 in a £3 million deal.

He will go into direct competition with Jonathan Ross and Piers Morgan’s new chatfest.

A Channel 4 source said: ‘Jonathan and Piers are from a different generation – Alan is the TV face of the future.’
