ASHLEE Simpson has publicly confirmed she is expecting her first child with husband Pete Wentz - by stepping out with a growing baby bump.
The 23-year-old was spotted heading out for lunch in California yesterday with her Fall Out Boy rocker husband, with a very obvious pregnant bulge poking through her bright orange maxi-dress.
Strolling hand-in-hand the loved-up couple headed to the California Pizza Kitchen, with the 28-year-old guitarist keeping Ashlee a safe distance behind him as he led her to the restaurant.
The beaming newlyweds even joked around with paparazzi about their expecting baby bundle - with Pete holding a pillow up to his stomach and posing for snappers.
And as if the singer's blooming belly wasn't obvious enough, the punky sister of
Jessica Simpson later stopped off to buy an ice-cream to satisfy her new cravings.
The singer - who recently released her new album
'Bittersweet World' -
has previously denied rumours that the couple are expecting, avoiding the big question in interviews. Yet a source told OK! that the
couple revealed the baby news to friends and family at their wedding reception back in May.
