What’s it all about? A kung fu obsessed boy travels back in time to ancient China in this family friendly martial arts fantasy.

American teenager Jason (Angarano) must free legendary warrior The Monkey King (Li) and defeat the Jade Warlord – not to mention find a way home. 

What’s good? It might sound a bit blokey, but we enjoyed this action-packed adventure that brings the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon touch to a Back To The Future-style story.

Will & Grace’s Michael Angarano is cute and funny, and martial arts fans will relish the chance to see Jet Li and Jackie Chan together on the screen for the first time.

What’s bad? The backstory about The Monkey King, and the details of Jason’s mission, aren’t desperately interesting. This is more about spectacle than story.
