THE world's fattest man has announced he is getting married.
Manuel Uribe held the Guinness Book Of World Records' record for the world's fattest man in 2007 - weighing in at 93 stone.
But the 43-year-old got his act together earlier this year, starting a strict diet and losing 52 stone.
And it looks like things have paid off, as Mr Uribe will marry his fiancé, Claudia, in October.
He said: "It will be a hefty wedding, on a large scale, but with a low-calorie banquet."
Mr Uribe, who featured on Channel 5's Extraordinary People: World's Heaviest Man, reached his weight by overindulging on pizza and tacos.
After meeting Claudia in 2006, Mr Uribe, who was bed-bound and unable to look after himself, sent out a plea on national television for help in losing weight.
Doctors and dieticians from all over the world flew to Mexico to help get him in to shape.
